
Jakarta, Compared to other meal times, position, aka breakfast breakfast is vital. The experts repeatedly remind the importance of breakfast to start the activity. Breakfast is also able to form a healthy heart.
But not a few people who often skip breakfast on the grounds in a hurry or want to lose weight. Yet too often students who do not can be harmful to the heart.
"Often skipping breakfast justu causes obesity rather than lose weight. Even people who skip breakfast often at high risk of heart disease," said Catherine Collins, a nutritionist from the University of Tasmania, as reported by Dailymail, Wednesday (27/10/2010).
People who skip breakfast will have a metabolism that is not good. If this happens repeatedly would disrupt the hormones in the body that regulates the balance of the body such as growth hormone, insulin and the hormone serotonin.
Research conducted Collins and his colleagues found that often no breakfast can make people become obese (overweight), a lot of fat deposits around the belly and high cholesterol levels. All of this is a major risk factor for heart panyakit.
"No breakfast can also lead to increased levels of insulin in the blood, which is a warning for diabetes," said Collins further.
According to Collins, people who skip breakfast are more likely to snack snack or sweet foods that may have the intake of fiber, vitamins and minerals are low. So, no breakfast instead of losing weight but it triggers obesity, cholesterol and diabetes.
The study results have been published in American Journal of Clinical Nutrition shows that the risk of heart disease will be even greater let alone someone not accustomed to breakfast since childhood and continues into adulthood.
"Although no direct effect, but long-term dangers will haunt you. No breakfast is a marker for an unhealthy lifestyle and chaotic," said Collins.
