Japanese researcher Hiroshi Yamada, MD, Ph.D found two main substances in green tea are able to keep the body from the flu threat catechins and theanine. Both are very useful antioxidants to fight disease.
Researchers asked participants to take a pill containing 378 mg of catechins (equivalent to 2 cups of green tea) and 210 mg of theanine (equivalent to 4 cups) per day for 5 months. But the results are only 4 percent of it could be far away from the risk of the flu.
But different things happen when participants were asked to drink 2 cups of green tea directly every day. The result participants can avoid the risk of colds by 70 percent.

To get the benefits of drinking 2 cups of green tea, there are several things to note.
