Avoiding the fatal bee stings

Jakarta, Quite often people stung by a bee when it was near the nest. For normal people a bee sting may be no big deal. However, it would be fatal to people who have bee sting allergies, reactions can be quite severe stings can even cause death. How to avoid bee stings?

Fatal bee sting that ever occurred in Yogyakarta in November 2008. 12 residents of Bantul had rushed to the hospital because of bees attacked while walking on dry fields. In addition, one victim died from bee stings have been reported from Bandung, West Java, in May 2010.

1. Decreased blood pressure
2. Shortness of breath
3. Difficulty swallowing
4. Dizziness
5. Narrowing of blood vessels, which can trigger heart attacks

First aid for people with bee sting allergies is to give epinephrine. Injections of epinephrine to prevent anaphylaxis for a while, and then seek immediate medical help.

However, before the bee stung you should do prevention so that the body is not subjected to bee stings, namely by:

1. Do not disturb the hornet's nest, because bees will attack if their nest disturbed or feel threatened.
2. Choose light colored clothing and avoid using brightly colored clothing, since it will attract bees.
3. Bees attracted by the fragrance of flowers, so avoid using deodorant, cologne, perfume with the scent of flowers when visiting places prone to bees, like a flower garden or orchard.
4. Avoid leaving food outside the home and do not forget to close the trash, because the bees are very interested in food.
