Food and Drinks that Make Frequent pee

Jakarta, aka Urinate pee is that normal activities of the body to remove excess fluid and salt. But some foods and certain beverages can make the body more frequent urination or are diuretics. What?

Eating high-sodium or excessive consumption of sugar, hormonal changes and health conditions may increase the risk of fluid retention or edema. This often results in bloating or swelling of the hands, feet, abdomen or face.

The use of natural diuretic can decrease this effect. Diuretics refers to a substance that increases urination to help the body get rid of excess fluids and salt.

Here are some foods and beverages that are diuretics or make you urinate more frequently, as reported by Livestrong, Tuesday (06/28/2011):

1. Caffeine in coffee, cocoa and tea
Caffeine is a natural diuretic and can make you have to eat frequently to the toilet to urinate. However, you should be careful to consume caffeine because if consumed in excessive amounts can lead to dehydration.

2. Water
According to Elmhurst College's Virtual Chembook, water itself is the best natural diuretic. When you drink plenty of water, plasma volume will be increased so that the blood pressure also increased. Also, the plasma becomes more dilute. Responding to these body changes, will also increase urine production, thus helping to rid the body of excess water.

3. Vegetables and fruits that contain lots of water
Eating fruits that have high water content can help to manage the retention of water by causing you to urinate more often. Watermelon, onion, celery, cucumber, pineapple, onion, squash, green onion, garlic, green beans, asparagus are examples of vegetables and fruits that contain high amount of water.

4. Parsley
This green-leafed parsley inhibits physiological process known as sodium-potassium pump, resulting in increased excretion of water.

5. Oats
Oats are known to contain silica, which is a natural diuretic. To maximize your morning oatmeal, add fresh fruit. In addition to a diuretic effect, it keeps your digestive system healthy by reducing the risk of constipation.
